Directions
Urbanna is located on the Rappahannock River and Urbanna Creek in Middlesex County, Virginia. It’s 60 miles from Newport News-Norfolk-Virginia Beach and Richmond, 45 miles from Williamsburg and 125 miles from Washington, DC.
By Land
Urbanna is easily accessible from Interstates 95 and 64 via four-lane highways 17 and 33.

By Water
Urbanna Creek is about 17 miles up the Rappahannock River from the Chesapeake Bay. Cruise up the river, go under the Norris Bridge (100’ clearance), look to starboard for Channel Buoy 6 at Towle’s Point and set a westerly course for the red blinking light on the river’s southern shore. 
Permanent and transient moorings are available in Urbanna Creek. The Town Marina monitors VHS channel 16. Coordinates: Latitude 37 38N.056, longitude 76 34W.295.
By Air
There are two commercial airports within 45 minutes of Urbanna: Richmond International and Newport News/Williamsburg International.
There are three general aviation airports within a half hour of Urbanna.
Hummel Field
The 2261’ asphalt runway supports smaller aircraft. Hummel Field is 15 minutes from Urbanna.
Tappahannock-Essex County Airport
The 4,300-foot runway handles small and medium size business aircraft, including twin-engine planes and small corporate jets up to 12,500 pounds and 79-feet in wingspan. The airport is 35 minutes from Urbanna.
West Point Regional Airport
