| Marina |
| The town operates a transient marina at Upton’s Point on
Urbanna Creek. Town residents can use the boat ramp, sand beach
and fishing pier free of charge. For details about transient

| Events |
| Urbanna is the home of Virginia’s official Oyster
Festival,
an event that draws over 75,000 visitors to town the first
weekend in November. Other annual events include the Easter
Stroll, Art on the Half Shell (a juried, outdoor art show),
the Town-wide Yard sale, 4th of July Boat Parade and Fireworks,
Labor Day Weekend Family Fun Day and the Historic Urbanna
Holiday Homes Tour. Our Farmer’s Market takes place the second
Saturday of each month from May through October. And the Middlesex
Art Guild offers a full calendar of free, fine art exhibits
at its gallery at 217 Virginia Street. Calendar

| Visitor's Center |
| The Visitor’s Center is located in a restored,
18th century tobacco warehouse on a hill overlooking Urbanna
Creek. It’s normally open Fridays and Saturdays from 11:00 am
to 5:00 pm. Volunteers are on duty to answer your questions.
Brochures, maps and souvenirs are available. If you’d like to
volunteer, please contact the
town office. |
| Pool |
| The town pool is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Town residents, their children and their grandchildren may
use the pool free of charge. Others pay $3 per day. Paying
guests do not have to be accompanied by a town resident. The
pool is located at the intersection of Grace Avenue and Bonner
Street. |
| Swim Team |
| Children from pre-school to age 18 may join the Urbanna
Swim Team. The team competes against Deltaville, West Point,
Indian Creek Yacht and Country Club and Tappahannock at home

| Taber Park |
| Taber Park has benches, picnic tables, shade trees, a playground,
two tennis courts and lots of open space for running around
and relaxing. The fenced playground has a jungle gym, swings
and seesaws and is cushioned with a thick layer of mulch. The
park is open to the public during daylight hours. It’s
located at the intersection of Rappahannock Avenue and Bonner
Street. |
| Concerts |
| From time to time the town presents free, outdoor
concerts in Taber Park. Check the Calendar
of Events for details. |
| Watermen's Park |
| This riverfront pocket park in a residential area on Kent
Street is the perfect spot to take a seat and take in the view
down the Rappahannock River. The park is located in a quiet,
residential neighborhood. Please respect nearby home owners’
privacy, peace and quiet. |
| Classes |
| The Town occasionally offers classes like yoga
and Pilates for a fee. Contact Parks
and Recreation for a schedule. |
