| Hospitals |
| There are three regional hospitals within 30 minutes of Urbanna,
all with 24-hour emergency facilities. All of them provide Nightingale
emergency medical helicopter service to major medical centers
in Richmond, Norfolk and Newport News. |

General Hospital in
Kilmarnock is a 77-bed facility offering a full range
of inpatient/outpatient medical, surgical, and specialty
services, 24-hour Emergency Care, and state-of-the-art diagnostic
imaging services
- Riverside
Tappahannock Hospital is a 100-bed facility that
offers nuclear medicine, physical therapy, diagnostic services,
respiratory therapy, family medicine, 24-hour emergency care,
cardiology and orthopedic surgery

Middle Peninsula Hospital, a 71-bed facility in
Gloucester County, provides general medical and surgical care,
intensive and cardiac care, physical therapy, various diagnostic
services, and 24-hour emergency care

| Nursing Homes |
Middlesex County has two nursing home facilities. Riverside
Convalescent Center in Saluda
accommodates 60 long-term care patients. Mizpah Health Care Center in Locust
Hill provides
intermediate care to 64 patients. |
| Fitness |
| The Middlesex
County Family YMCA in nearby Hartfield has fitness
equipment and programs for all ages. The Town occasionally offers
classes like yoga and Pilates for a fee. Contact Parks and
Recreation for a schedule. |
